2014 Guido Ragghianti Old World Field Blend
The Guido is a blend of old vine Petite Sirah from the historic David Fulton Vineyards in St. Helena, Rutherford Bench Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot from the Lucio Dalla Gasperina Vineyard.
One of the winemaker’s favorite wines of the 2014 vintage, named after his Grandfather Nonno Guido Ragghianti (Nonno means Grandfather in Italian). Deep, dark, decadent and delicious black currant fruit notes, loads of rich and black Bing cherry, backed by ripe blueberry notes and swirls of ripe wild blackberry. A well balanced exotic dark seductive wine which should age nicely over the next 20-25 years. Only 6 barrels produced. Drink frequently with roasted and grilled meats with Matilda's favorite pesto pasta recipe and don't forget the cannellini beans.
