2021 Matilda Red Blend
The 2018 Matilda is a distinctive and richly layered blend of five different grape varietals consisting of Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon, Old Vine Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Old Vine Zinfandel. Enormous wine, dark, inky, full throttle and in your face. Powerful and explosive blackberry and exotic fruit flavors, baked spice and dark ripe plum that swirl and lingers in your mouth. Hints of expresso, black tea and licorice. Incredibly smooth and silky for a blockbuster wine that is Out of This World. Crack open a bottle for the holidays and see for yourself. The Matilda continues to mature and soften with age. Matilda was 100 years old when she died in 1999. Only 10 barrels produced.
2022 Matilda Red Blend
The 2022 Matilda this year is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 8% Petit Verdot, 4% Petite Sirah and a splash or two of Malbec and Merlot. Smooth, silky with along lingering satin finish. Well integrated, juicy fruit forward majestic six varietal blend. A mosaic of exotic, explosive, intoxicating blackberry, raspberry, baked pie, cherry and boysenberry liquor flavors. Likely to be the best Matilda ever. Ready to drink tonight or let it age. Only a miniscule 80 cases produced. Folks put your crash helmets on. You are in for a ride of your life.
2016 Guido Ragghianti Old World Field Blend
A majestic and royal blend of uncommon proportions reaching a new dimension, and hitting a flavor note an octave higher than any other previous vintage of the Guido. Deep, dark and decadent with seductive liquor flavors of blackberry, blueberry, black cherry and swirls of wild berry flavors but elegant on the palate. Extremely well balanced and integrated fruit flavors. The 2016 Guido is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot from the Dalla Gasperina and Frank Leeds Vineyards in Rutherford and Old Vine Petite Sirah from the historic David Fulton Vineyard in St. Helena along with a splash of Cabernet Franc. Pairs nicely with grilled and roasted meats and hearty Italian pasta dishes. Continues to age gracefully in the bottle. Limited availability.
2021 Guido Ragghianti Old World Field Blend
85% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from our newly farmed and managed Vineyard in St. Helena along with 12% dark inky Petit Verdot and 3% mouthwatering Cabernet Franc. Oozing with dark fruit flavors, blackcurrant, black cherry, blackberry, chocolate mocha with hints of smoldering tobacco. A Huge muscular wine but surprisingly smooth, soft, silky and satiny with seductive blackberry liquor flavors, swirling with black licorice and wild berry flavors. Pairs nicely with grilled and roasted meats and hearty Italian pasta dishes. Lock this monster up for six to twelve months for additional bottle age if you can’t resist the temptation to open tonight. Only 10 barrels produced for a total of 225 cases.
2021 Zinfandel Mind
Sourced from our Charter Oak Estate and Old Vine Zinfandel from the Papina Vineyard in St. Helena along with Old Vine Petite Sirah from the David Fulton Vineyard in St. Helena planted in the 1860’s. Dark, rich, juicy and bold, spicy and sexy with scents of cracked black pepper, showcasing strong hints of blackberry preserve, blueberry, raspberry, Bing cherry liquor and boysenberry pie notes. A huge wine of grace and elegance with a zesty lingering finish. This wine will do a dance on your tongue and encompasses a rainbow of wild exotic concentrated dark fruit flavors. One of the biggest TZM’s ever. Featuring International Artist and winemaker’s wife Layla Fanucci’s artwork. This wine is ready to drink tonight. Release the genie from the bottle. Only 10 barrels produced.
2018 Uncle George Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2018 Uncle George is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Oakville Bench in Napa. Dark majestic in color, deep purple, heavy metal and of noble and royal character. Oozing with black cherry, dark red rose pedal, and swirls of raspberry scented chocolate mousse. Following a lovely sweet, soft entry, flavors on the palate suggest a very solid core of black currant, ripe red cherry pie, and black licorice, with dark red fruit liquor overtones. A lingering smooth, silky and satin finish is highlighted by an orchestra of exotic fruit flavors. Artistry in a bottle. The painting on the front label is George, St. Helena and international Artist Layla Fanucci's Uncle whose family owns a winery in the South of France.
