2021 Uncle George Cabernet Sauvignon
95% Cabernet Sauvignon along with 5% dark inky majestic and royal Petit Verdot from our estate farmed vineyard in St. Helena tucked against the Mayacamas mountain range. Oozing with dark fruit flavors, blackcurrant, black Bing cherry, wild blackberry, chocolate mocha with hints of smoldering expresso tobacco.
A huge muscular wine but surprisingly smooth, soft, silky and satiny with seductive blackberry liquor flavors, swirling with black licorice and wild berry flavors. Pairs nicely with grilled and roasted meats and hearty Italian pasta dishes. Ready to savor tonight or lock this monster Cabernet Sauvignon up for an additional six to twelve months for additional bottle age if you can resist the temptation to open tonight. But why wait!
This is our first Cabernet Sauvignon release from this vineyard located on Zinfandel Lane in St. Helena owned by our two dear friends David and Beth.
The painting on the front label is Uncle George, St. Helena International Artist Layla Fanucci’s Uncle whose family owns a vineyard and winery in the South of France.
Layla’s rich, colorworks are available for viewing at www.laylafanucci.com. A rare Wine Club offering. Only 7 barrels produced for a total of 175 cases.
